The plan was simple but came with its fair share of butterflies, like any good engagement. After some text messages from Emmet to coordinate their arrival, we spotted them weaving through the Gardens. He seamlessly flowed with the crowd, navigating to the perfect spot inside one of the park’s buildings while playing it cool.
The anticipation was real. Waiting for the right moment—one without too many onlookers—meant a bit of patience (and even snapping a photo for another visiting couple because #gentlemanmove).

And then it happened. The moment we’d all been waiting for.
With the sunlight gently filtering through the garden windows, Emmet got down on one knee. But plot twist—he had the ring upside down! (Honestly, it’s adorable.) Ever the perfectionist, he caught the mishap, adjusted, and asked Claire again. It’s good that you can’t say “yes” too often because Claire didn’t hesitate for a second!

What stuck with me throughout the rest of the day was just how much Claire and Emmet were glowing. Claire kept looking at her hand, almost like she needed reassurance that it was real. “Wait, am I ENGAGED to this amazing man? Ohmigosh, I am!” Meanwhile, you couldn’t wipe the grin off of Emmet’s face if you’d tried. It’s safe to say these two were on cloud nine, and honestly, I think we were right there with them. The entire atmosphere felt light, jubilant, and unmistakably them.
