Phoebe and Kramer are two of the sweetest people we’ve met! Phoebe and Kramer met while in college through a mutual friend. Their love was sealed with a kiss on New Year Eve – after that it was history. Three and a half years later Kramer proposed to Phoebe in front of Wrigley Field. This was perfect for them as they go to as many Cubs games they can in the Summertime. Together they, well Phoebe, have the goal to eat as many restaurants in Chicago as they can! I have the same goal – but in the whole World 🙂
They got ready in the most beautiful house/venue in Lake Geneva, the Maxwell Mansion! They had the whole place to themselves – it felt like a bustling home with both families getting ready around the grounds. I got to hang out with the girls in one of the most beautiful suites while Justin and the guys were dancing in the stunning stable rooms. As soon as Phoebe put on her dress, she couldn’t stop twirling and smiling! The way the little girls were close by in awe of how beautiful she was.
Phoebe and Kramer had an intimate first look in the blue ballroom. A room that was classic, stunning and quiet! Perfect for them to be in the moment, dance, cry happy tears and see each other for the last time before becoming Husband and Wife. It was the perfect beautiful bubble for their love for each other.
This was the same park we all met for their engagement session earlier this Summer. Their ceremony setup was simply stunning under the trees with the lake behind it. Rose petals lined the aisle up to the archway that Kramer built himself! As Phoebe walked down the aisle her family cheered, filling our hearts with so much joy. Kramer was nothing but smiles watching his Bride walk down with her beaming father. They wrote their own vows to one another that were heartfelt, funny and perfect! Instead of a unity candle, sand or tying of the knot – they had communion. (funny side note – while photographing this communion and staying out of the way, I nearly fell into the murky lake. Thankfully the tree branch I grabbed held me)
We returned to the Maxwell Mansion where we hate delicious food, Kramer serenaded Phoebe during their first dance, and danced the night away! Their wedding was filled with so many family and friends that traveled hundreds of miles to a city that means so much to the couple. Now, these two are looking forward to all the amazing new experiences they will have as husband and wife!
