Devils Lake Engagement Session
Valerie and Cody had a mini adventure during their Devils Lake Engagement session! They wanted nature and water, so I brought them to our favorite location! Where the water is clean and beautiful, and there is so much nature all around! Plus, since they are eloping in Colorado, it matches their elopement locations perfectly! The bluffs may not be mountains, but they are the mountains of Wisconsin!
We arrived during a night that was simply fantastic weather! With an even more killer sunset!
Their Proposal Story:
We took a trip to Minneapolis for Valentine’s day weekend. We got a fancy hotel and planned to do our favorite things. We had a wonderful weekend going shopping and eating. We went to my brother’s fancy Italian restaurant he worked and had a fabulous dinner. Afterward, we returned to the hotel, and Cody put my Valentine’s day goodies on the bed. I had a card, candies, stuffed animals, flowers, the works. It was so cute, and I did not think anything of it.
I opened the card, read it, and he wrote a sweet little message. At the end of the card, he said he loved me, could not wait any longer and needed to ask me a question. I looked up at him; he was kneeling, holding a beautiful ring. He asked me to marry him, and I was in shock. It was such an amazing night and feeling and a memory I will never forget.
What do you admire most about your partner?
I admire Cody’s kindness and patients. He is so sweet and patient with people, and I admire and try to be more like that.
I admire Valerie’s passion. She brings such life to everything that she does.
