Beautiful fall engagement session in Madison Wisconsin

First, I have been DYING to get a fall day that was this perfect! The weather, the light, the couple! Everything was seriously amazing!

Amanda and Alex are two of the sweetest souls I have had in front of my camera! They were just so comfortable with each other! When they cuddled they just fell into their spots with ease.

We had their session at Pope Farms, which again is my all-time favorite place to photograph our clients! It had everything these two wanted, trees and fields of grass! I gasped with awe when the photos at the end of their session were happening. The sun was showing off for sure for Amanda and Alex!

Let’s get to know their story!

When did you know you had fallen in love with your future Mr or Mrs?

Amanda – We had been officially dating for a month or so and I was in Milwaukee visiting some friends. I started missing Alex & thought that I would be having even more fun if he was there with me & that’s when I knew I was in love with him.

Alex – When Amanda was in Milwaukee she was drinking all day and night with her friends and she had texted me randomly saying that she loved me and I knew she was intoxicated so I wasn’t sure how to respond. I had a conversation with myself and ultimately I decided that I loved her too and she can take back what she said in the morning if she wanted but my mind was set that I loved her.

What is your proposal story?

Alex set up a scavenger hunt all around Madison with things related to our relationship. First, we started at Noodles & Company, which was where we had our first date. Next was the Monona Terrace, which was where we had our first pictures taken. Then we went back to the apartment, which was our first apartment together.

Lastly, he popped the question at a little gazebo down the street from where we lived. PS this was the day in April that it was super cold & snowy!

What do you admire most about your partner?

Amanda – I admire how caring and loving Alex is towards others, especially his family & his little brother Jack. That was definitely one of the things that caught my attention when we first started dating. He always puts others before himself and is so hardworking! He has the biggest heart <3

Alex- I admire Amanda’s ability to always do the right thing and keep me grounded. She is always honest with me and keeps me grounded and is quick to show me another person’s perspective. She is also very passionate about being a nurse and taking care of babies and their moms which makes me excited about our future together 🙂
