Funfilled Winter Engagement Session with two Dogs in Madison Wisconsin
We get super excited when couples want to include their pets! Especially when they are dogs! Kali and Kevin have two adorable pups, Maverick & Reveley that have two very different personalities!
We met on the family farm of a family friend and it had so many different options for rad photos! The weather may look like it was warm, but man was it cold! But, that didn’t bother us any as we were all having so much fun!
Now let’s get to know Kali and Kevin a bit! First, I must stay I LOVE how they met!
How did you meet?
At Madison’s downtown. Kali pushed Kevin out of the way to get to the bar for a tequila shot for her best friend (maid of honor). It was her birthday the next day and it was urgent that we shot in hand at midnight. Kevin at first turned around angrily, but then he saw it was just me and he asked for my name and what I was doing.
We then went our separate ways. Later that night we made eye contact from across the bar and then Kevin bought my friend and my drinks and we ended up dancing until bar close. After that, we didn’t talk for the next 6 months. And I commented on a Facebook picture he was tagged in saying “Looking good” and proceeded to “love” the photo when I was drunk on New Year’s Eve.
We went on our first date shortly after.
Tell us your proposal story:
December 27, 2019 – Kevin had rose petals leading from the door coming in from the garage up to the living room. When Kali walked in she saw the rose petals but didn’t know what was happening. Then the dogs ran up to her and had on shirts that said: “Will you marry my dad?” She then walked upstairs and Kevin proposed in the living room with a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the coffee table behind him.
He also had letters sitting out that we had written a year ago and were supposed to open on Christmas, and Kevin said we had to wait to open them. In them, we had both written that we thought we would be engaged in a year when we opened them. He had his friend Jay standing off to the side taking photos of the whole thing.
