These were some epic studio brand photography in Milwaukee! Amanda needed modern brand photography for her new Copywriting website! I couldn’t wait to get her in the studio and create some epic photos! She wanted a fun, professional, and modern vibe that showed her personality and brand!
We met up at one of my favorite studio spaces in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! I turned up the music and laughed so much! She even KILLED a runway walk! It was even more incredible that she brought her husband with her! We were able to get some rad photos of them both! Because when you own a business, YOU are the brand! And that includes those who are in your inner circle!
Aside from my professional expertise, I’m a pretty down-to-earth person who loves helping business owners put their vision into words. I think my general excitement and commitment to my career are what attract people to me.
I use a collaborative approach to projects so I can help my clients create truly original brands. My clients are an active part of the process. I’m detail-oriented, taking care to really level up their professional presence. Clients who book me are 100% committed to investing in and elevating their brands.
When I first started freelancing, I totally felt the imposter syndrome. After working with my first few clients, I was surprised to discover that what they valued most was my expertise. They were quick to accept my professional advice.
Advice from my grandma: You can’t change the world if your bed isn’t made (something along those lines). Basically, make sure your life is in order before you move onto bigger things.
For any career: It sounds cliche, but follow your gut. I became a hairstylist after high school because I didn’t think writing could get me anywhere. My heart wasn’t in the beauty industry. I ended up going back to school for Professional Writing when I should have committed to that passion in the first place.
For aspiring copywriters: Pay attention to how any and everything is written – email newsletters, brochures, informational signs, etc. You’ll very quickly learn that there is an immense need for people who can write well.
