We are Christine & Justin!
Wisconsin Elopement Photographers who believe your wedding day & photographs should be filled with your personalities!
I have been looking forward to this wedding all year long! Not because it was the last of the year for us. But, because I have been DYING to photograph at the Ivy House in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
It was funny when I drove up to the Ivy House, I couldn’t believe I have been there before. Around three years ago I second shot a wedding here, but it was a night club at the time. It is a THOUSAND times better now that it’s the Ivy House Wedding Venue!
The ladies got ready above at the Airbnb they have connected to the venue. It is awesome with a wall of old speakers, a large gold mirror, and beautiful window light. It was perfect for them to get ready with plenty of space! This is also where Jackie had her first looks with her Dad, Brother, and Grandmother!
For the wedding party and first look photos, we drove down the road to one of my favorite alleys. The alley I wanted to use though had a Uhaul parked in it, so we went with cream city brick. The ladies were stunning in their light blue bridesmaid dresses. While the guys were handsome in their black suits and complimentary blue ties.
The reception and ceremony were candlelit with beautiful gold accents, white florals, greenery, and succulents! I am a major sucker for these details! Especially the candlelight!
He calms me down and brings me back down to earth when I get too in my head. And he is adorably unaware of how attractive he is.
She constantly wants to go on adventures and try new things. I wouldn’t accomplish half as much in my life without her. She also can light up a room without trying and everyone gravitates towards her
Waking up cuddling our puppy, making chocolate chip pancakes, going to Trader Joe’s, taking the puppy for a long walk along the SF bay, watching the packer game and eating a delicious meal for dinner.
As soon as the rehearsal dinner hit it seemed like a blur of reminiscing with family and friends we hadn’t seen in a while, but yet we can still remember the exact moments of those conversations. Waking up Sunday morning we were just in awe of how beautiful our wedding day was.
The candy wedding favors because Jackie LOVES candy (plus it was Halloween weekend); Tyler wrote a message on the bottom of my shoes; we left birthday and anniversary cards for our guests that were celebrating during the few days before and after our wedding – which each one of them Was so touched by.
And probably our favorite – our friend sang our first dance song, which gives me butterflies each time I hear it.
Take people’s advice with a grain of salt; if they’re suggesting something you wouldn’t normally do, then don’t do it! Know what is important to both you and your wife/husband and know what you’re willing to compromise on and what you aren’t. For us, that was an amazing photographer (which we got!) and a videographer.
Oh. My. God. One of the best decisions we made during wedding planning. When I got off the phone with Christine during the “interviewing” process, I was in tears because I knew I wanted her and Justin to shoot our wedding. They made us feel so comfortable like we were just hanging out with friends. (OH MY GOSH, this makes me soooo freaking happy! We love you two!)
