Ida & Rueben had a day that felt natural; getting

Ida & Rueben had a day that felt natural; getting married inside the Madison State Capitol Building felt like the right choice. A big wedding never felt like them, so they invited just a few family members and had an intentional day.

A ceremony with the rotunda behind them, with a photo of them on the grand stairs outside, then heading to the Allen Centennial Gardens, which was hand-picked by them. And ending with the beautiful Madison skyline behind them on the balcony of the AC Hotel.

Small guest list. Big feeling. Exactly what they wanted their wedding to be.

We've photographed dozens of couples inside the Madison State Capitol Building, & each time feels like a dream that I get to make unique for each couple. #niphotoweddings

Which one is your current mood & feeling about it being monday!?

I'm in the middle, both stoked to get a new workweek going! We have a few family sessions & a wedding coming up.

Photographing these two was like photographing a princess with her prince! It was the whole vibe - I couldn't stop smiling while photographing these two & editing these photos!

And the way I FREAKED when I saw they had a handshake!? Instant jealousy (in the best way!).

The way these two giggled, little jumps of joy & everything was contagious! I left this session so energized, it felt like I had a few energy drinks! And I don't drink those things!

To say that I am STOKED for their wedding coming up this Fall is an understatement! #niphotocouples
