Alex & Meagan got married in the Northwoods of Wisconsin at an intimate wedding – saying I DO in front of their closest friends and family. Ceremony set in a field with antique doors and greenery as a backdrop – the girls wore beautiful non matching dresses that were light and airy. The guys looked dapper and classic in navy suits and cream ties. The flowers all around were hand done by the bride herself, along with the decorating and design. Meagan didn’t leave anything out – she thought of everything! The colors were blush, white and navy – my all time favorite color scheme for a wedding day. When we first talked on the phone she was telling me all the details and I was swooning from that moment – along with the laid back personality and awesome humor Alex has.
They went to see the Wicked the musical (her favorite). He proposed during intermission! Meagan was totally SHOCKED! It was a good thing she’s seen the musical a few times before because she was so distracted to pay attention. Meagan’sfavorite thing about Alex is that he always puts her in a better mood, even without much effort! (see what I mean – his personality is contagious!) His favorite thing about her is that she is beautiful both in beauty and brains. You can just tell they are each others halves when you meet them.
When asked about the wedding day – she was really just ready to get married. The only scary part was wondering if everything was going to go as planned – and it went off without a hitch. It was one of the sweetest ceremonies, with a teary groom and smiles all around. Their families were some of the sweetest people too – Justin and I felt more like family than photographers that day.
The bridal portraits were a dream – Alex and Meagan were so happy, in love and goofy. When I don’t have to tell a couple to do anything and just click away it’s the most beautiful moments to be part of. Alex’s goofy humor is contagious, and their love for their pups is amazing! They were of course part of the portraits and the first dance! Yes, you read that right they were part of the first dance! Little Kiwi rarely left Meagans side – he walked everywhere she did. These are the kind of people and weddings I could photograph every weekend!
