Madison Wisconsin Backyard Wedding
Lindsey and Erika planned a relaxed Wisconsin backyard wedding with some of their favorite people. Their families walked them down the aisle while their dog was their assistant! They wanted a casual wedding day that was filled with memories! They sure delivered! Their intimate wedding ended under the stars with great conversation!
When we talked about their day, they mentioned another of our favorite backyard weddings we shot this year – Maggie & Jacks! When we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms and two happy dogs! We fell in love with all the humans and fur babes!
Lindsey’s brother was the officiant for their ceremony. Of course, I adore it when couples bring their families into their day! Family friends also made the floral arrangements and set the table for dinner! All beautiful coordinated by Erika’s sister!
After the ceremony and family photos, we headed to their favorite dog park area for pictures of just them two and their pup!
Let’s get to know these two amazing woman!
Their proposal story?
We went out camping at a state park in NC in June. So many mosquitos. Ninety degrees in the tent. I proposed while she built a fire. We ended up sleeping in the car that night. It was so hot.
What do you love about one another?
Her willingness to adventure, her thoughtfulness
She is a leader, explorer, and she’s bold and strong while being the kindest and sweetest person I have met.
What would your perfect Sunday look like?
Take Maara on a hike or long walk by the water, get breakfast somewhere, and explore outside.
What memory stands out most from your wedding day or lives together?
Traveling together & the small gifts Lindsey would send me when we first started dating – a book we had talked about. an orchid for valentines day.
What was the best part of planning your wedding day?
Food tasting!
Biggest challenge planning your Wisconsin Backyard Wedding day?
We were least prepared for the weather – but it was handled pretty well. No real challenges planning – it was small enough.
What are/were you looking forward to most in your future together?
Adventure trips, continuing to make our house ours, and growing and challenging each other together.
What advice do you have for couples planning their Wisconsin Backyard Wedding day?
Relax – people are there for you to step in and help. The day is for you, they are celebrating with you.
How do you feel about your experience with Natural Intuition Photography?
We feel very good about using natural intuition photography – it was easy, they were there the whole way – offering suggestions and making the day super easy for us.
