What is an engagement session and why you should do it!?
Engagement Sessions – do you have to do them? No way, you don’t have to do anything that you really don’t think is necessary. I get many clients who don’t do an engagement session because they think they cannot afford it. But, I am going, to be honest with you all and tell you that an Engagement Session is worth WAY more than any money can buy. An Engagement Session is not just where you get more comfortable with your photographer, or something all the bridal magazines tell you to do, or something to do so you can get a Save the Date photo. Or just a few photos for your online website … etcÂ
It’s this :
It completes the story of you, of your love for one another. These photos that you make with your photography are memories, moments, emotions, and expressing and sharing the love you have for one another. People are able to see the love you have together, why you are deciding to take a large leap into a grand adventure together. These are the photos you hang on your wall, put in an album to share with the next generations, to tell that story of your love story forever. LOVE is the reason!
Love is the reason why I do what I do.
If I could make a living doing this for free I totally would! I am not in this for the money, I am in this to capture memories, and tell people stories. These stories are to be frozen in time and relived over and over with happiness in your hearts. It is a session that tells the story of you two. The road you took to where you are on your fiftieth anniversary. You’ll look back at these images and talk about how young you were. How long your hair was, the love you two have, and so on. It’s crazy awesome to be able to capture these images to share with couples, so they can see the love they feel for each other.
As you have just read, an engagement session is so much more! So if you are thinking about not doing an engagement session – change your mind right now and DO IT! You will not regret it, I promise!
