Justin and I extended our Las Vegas working trip a few days to head out into the desert and see the Grand Canyon. While in Las Vegas, I actually didn’t take that many photos of the strip, they were a few from the wedding day, and most were on my phone. We took a load of photos of a beautiful sunset we randomly stopped to watch. And of course we tested our limits out on the rocks at the Grand Canyon, where afterwards we found out someone fell the week before. Scary huh? Well, I was scared some of the time, but I am not as bold as Justin is. Justin would climb on rocks, walk out to the way edge, while I sat by and sweat. There was only one time that I put my foot down, he wanted to climb down and check out a hole in the rocks. Needless to say that he was not happy with me for a while, but I saved his life for sure!

Some advice to all those who are looking to travel to Las Vegas during Memorial Weekend – honestly …. we spent more money than we planned, but I am pretty sure that is how Vegas designed it. haha. The bright side to all the hotels being booked is that we spent the night in a cute little cabin for $31.00! We found this when we were ready to sleep in our car at a campsite – and even though I was terrified of spiders the whole night I was so happy to have a bed to sleep on. We didn’t get to see as much of the outskirts of Las Vegas as we wanted to but that was due to my ill planning, and forgetting it was Memorial Weekend. But the best part of the vacation is that even with everything that was going wrong, everything worked out and we got to see a beautiful sunset, over the mountains and Colorado River. We saw the Hoover Dam at night and it was beautiful! The best part of the whole thing is that I felt so blessed to be there, the couple trusted me enough to fly me to photograph their happy day. When I walked into our hotel room in Ceasers Palace, I almost cried. I sat on the bench staring out the window repeating – is this really my life? I am so honored and blessed and oh so thankful to Brandon, Ashley and their families for having me there. I don’t know if I could ever express verbally how happy I was, and how over flowing with love my heart was the whole trip.

Justin and I then headed to our next out of state adventure in Colorado for some personal time and a little work again with some wonderful people. I am excited to show you something awesome that Justin and I am making together while we are there. This is the last long adventure we are taking for a few months, but be sure that we will be going on a few mini adventures a little closer to home, and that will involved camping and hiking!

We are planning our next big adventure – where should we go? Where your dream vacation and/or favorite spot?

With Love – Christine
