Unpopular Opinion:

We do not care if you whip out your phone during any part of the wedding day.

As much as we wish you to stay in the moment of the day as much as possible. I adore watching people take photos - capturing those memories to be re-lived.

What I do ask is:
- You stay out of the aisle & our way as much as possible. To not hinder us from doing our job or missing a moment.
- Own a photo business & take photos to then post on your business page. (talk to us before, we have a process for this!)

We are traveling a lot this month, all over Wisconsin & a bit in Northern Minnesota!

The coming weeks are by far the busiest & emails may be a bit slower!

I will do my very best to take & post as much BTS as possible - but not make any promises!

Thankful — so freaking thankful.

This year marks 17 years in business, 10 of which have been full-time here in Madison. Justin and I took a massive leap moving here from Stevens Point with no real plan. Just an apartment, no jobs besides photography, and a whole lot of "let's just see what happens."

It was a wild ride. I had zero idea if we'd actually be able to pay our bills doing this full-time. But we did it. A few years ago, Justin picked up another job, too, to help cover bills and house upkeep (owning a house is awesome, but the previous owners are an enemy you never meet 😅).

Y'all, I am so very thankful and honestly still a little flabbergasted that this is my life. The little girl version of me is freaking out right now.

We went from photographing weddings just in Waupaca & Steven's Point to Elopements like this along the North Shore at one of my favorite State Parks!

Yoshi planned the proposal to Michaela at Boerner Botanical Gardens because she loves nature & also wanted somewhere romantic! He's never been to the gardens before, so we guided him to one of the most romantic spots. The Rose Garden!

It was the 1st HOT day after a few weeks of cool weather, yet it set the tone for such a romantic & fun session. A session that ended with flying & SO MUCH laughter!

The little things that we got to witness that showcased how beautiful their relationship & connection is. We are SO STOKED for these two & the new adventure they are on together! #niphotocouples

A proposal planned during a quick trip to Madison & she had NO IDEA!

The happiness these two had during this session was contagious & the way Mitali got so giddy when she saw the cellist!

Sumit gave us his idea & we brought it to life. Relaxing lakeside with a cellist playing nearby. Such a relaxed & happy way to start this new adventure together.

A multi-generational session on a farm - yes, please!

Photographing a family on a farm pulls on my heartstrings so much. As someone who grew up on a farm, I find sessions like this a little extra special.

Watching this family work on the farm, play in the wheat field & play with the kittens. Rarely stopping for a posed photo - this is the beauty of my job.

I am at a loss for words for this session - but it was a serious joy to photograph. #niphotofamilies
