Sunflowers in the midst of the hustle.

This past weekend was a doozy for Justin and I, for very different reasons. Justin was on a lake with his friends celebrating Summer with a few too many drinks and not enough sleep. While I was working the weekend away on some AMAZING things! Friday started off with a session at a beautiful Sunflower Field at Pope Farm Conservancy. Saturday I assisted a dear friend, Tara Draper of Tara Draper Photography at the Olbrich Gardens and Double Tree Hilton for a BEAUTIFUL wedding. Then Sunday I went to Lake Geneva to photograph a proposal along the lake. All of theses sessions and more will be coming to the blog in the coming weeks, I really cannot wait to share it all with you!

Sunday after we both got home, we both took a nap of course, then we went to Pope Farms to check out the Sunflowers once again. I really wanted Justin to see them, and take more photos of this beautiful field! We have never seen so many sunflowers in one place! I also don’t think I have seen so many photographers in one place. It’s like being in Seattle and seeing a Starbucks from another Starbucks. Of course I was looking out for photographers I knew. I did run into my friend Bobbi from Twig and Olive Photography.  A woman who rocks it at photography and also a lover of whiskey! My kind of gal!

Justin and I were dead tired and as relaxing as this was we couldn’t wait to get home. Sit down on the couch with a glass of wine or whiskey and relax together. Needless to say, that cocktail was delicious!
