A beautiful Vineyard Wedding

I love most about my couples this year is that even though there is rain in the forecast – the wedding is still on! We are a go during the outdoor ceremony as planned! Whenever I hear this I am so elated! This means neither rain or shines these two are ready to get married and that is all that really matters!

When we arrived at Cottage Winery and Vineyard, it was raining the skies were dark. Yet, when we were ready to photograph the dress, it stopped! Umbrellas were being handed out as a precaution to keep the guests dry during the ceremony. Again, it rained as the wedding party and family walked down the aisle. But yet again, as soon as Laura started down the aisle – the sun came out! It stayed out all the way through the ceremony and photos! Raining just as we were starting to head to the reception!

All day it was said that the loved ones were looking out for them from above. They even gave us a rainbow during dinner! There was for sure a higher power looking out for these two on their wedding day!

What memory stands out most from your wedding day?

Getting to see each other for the first time that day! AND the timing of the weather. It had been raining all day Friday and then all day Saturday leading up to the wedding. All the guests had umbrellas that were popped open. It was even still raining as the wedding party was coming down the aisle. It was literally the moment I stepped outside that the rain stopped. All the clouds blew out and the sun started shining!!! It remained that way for the entire ceremony! I think every single guest there was blown away by what they had all seen happen. I got to have my perfect outdoor wedding with my grand entrance and my dress just sparkled in the sunshine! It was so amazing! During dinner a rainbow even came out!  All of our family and friends gathered together to celebrate our special day with us!

What was the best part of planning your wedding day?

Picking out the dress! I also really enjoyed the hair and makeup trials! And finally I  really enjoyed the time I got to spend with my mom who was a big help to me throughout the whole wedding planning process. Oh side note: a nice part if you are a bride who loves shopping and clothes you can use the wedding as an excuses to buy all kinds of new things! It didn’t matter what I came home with or how many boxes showed up at our house my go to response was “Its for the wedding!’

What was the greatest challenge in planning your wedding day? What did you least feel prepared for?

By far the hardest part was coordinating all of my vendors. Everything came together perfectly the day of but it felt very stressful especially a week or two leading up to wedding day. The other hardest thing was completing the tasks that I did not find fun. Just like a kid in school I put those things off as long as I could.

The thing I was least prepared for was setting everything up the day of. The whole time leading up to wedding day I had done all of the planning and visualizing and gathering of the items I needed and wanted. I had done all the talking to the different vendors on where things were going etc. And then the day of came and I was the only person who couldn’t really help execute this. So all of a sudden I had to delegate all of these jobs out and try and explain my visualizations to make sure everything got done and looked the way I had planned.

Are there any moments you were most excited for?

I want to see all of the pictures and relive the day! I want to see all the little details and things I might have missed being the bride. I want to see the sky, clouds, vineyard, and background in our pictures. Also, I want to see the family shots with everyone looking so snazzy! And of course we want to see how our pictures as the bride and groom turned out!

What personal touches did you add to make your wedding day your own?

Everything! haha I did a TON of research on each and every item and vendor I went with. I met and spoke with them all as well. I am a very visual person and a firm believer in front loading! I really feel like all my hard work doing this and all the trips I made were well worth it I was EXTREMELY pleased with everything and everyone.

What are you looking forward to most about being married?

Getting to spend the rest of my life with my best friend!

What advice do you have for couples planning their wedding day?

 Be ready for anything right up until the absolute end of the day, but don’t let any of that get you down. Always keep remembering what the day is really all about. You and your significant other! And find some tasks the groom can do! Mine was very good at running the errands I sent him on.

Where are you heading for your honeymoon?

We are going on a honeymoon, I have yet to finish planning that had to put it on the back burner and make sure I got the wedding taken care of first! But, we are hoping to go to Hawaii over Christmas!
