About a year ago I got a phone call from a man who wanted to chat about photographing his wife and him at their re-wedding in the coming year. Your probably thinking what is a re-wedding? He told me all about their simple first wedding in a courthouse just four years ago. Micheal continued to tell me how he wanted to give her the wedding she deserved. As we talked I could just hear his love for her over the phone, it was the sweetest thing. This was a first for me, the guy calling about services and wanted his wife to be happy. This needs to happen more, it makes the world a more beautiful place!
I didn’t get to meet Kim until just a couple months before their wedding day. I finally got to meet Kim one chilly Wisconsin Day in Madison Wisconsin. We drove one chilly Wisconsin day to meet Kim and Micheal in Madison to finalize wedding details. To meet these two in person was amazing. This couple is what weddings are all about – love. Waiting long enough, four long years to watch the love of your life walk down the aisle wearing a beautiful white dress, saying your own vows to each other, and being surrounded by everyone close to them. Family and friends from all over the world coming together for a love of the ages. Kim and Micheal are two people who can make each other laugh so easily coming together on a day where the smile and joy never leaves their face.
Kim and Micheal’s wedding day was a beautifully classic affair at Shully’s Watermark  just north of Milwaukee Wisconsin. An affair that included their two pups, two dresses, amazing food and some of the best people to hang out with!
