Wausau Wisconsin Elopement in the Fog

Paul proposed to Katie on a weekend getaway in Milwaukee. Paul had planned to propose at the Lighthouse on Lake Michigan, but life had different plans. Along their walk, Katie got pooped on by a bird at the Rock Bottom Brewery (they LOVE their beer!). This diverted them to the museum – which Katie asked him to walk through with her. Afterwards, they continued their walk along Lake Michigan.

At this point, they were really tired of walking, even though Paul wanted to keep going. Remember his original plan!? Having to plan a Plan B – they found a secluded bench looking out at the water – this is where he got down on one knee. Afterwards, they went for a celebratory brewer game! What a rad way to celebrate right!?

Katie loves that Paul is kind and generous.
Paul Loves Katie’s passion for trying new things.

Their favorite memory of the day was when they saw each other for the first time – as Katie walked down the aisle with her arm around her Dad. As they grew closer their smiles grew wider!

The best part of planning their day!?

That they did everything the way they wanted to.

What was the greatest challenge in planning their day!?

The greatest challenge was getting everyone on board for a small wedding. One thing we could have done without and were least prepared for was the rain and thunderstorms before the ceremony. We didn’t have much of a back up if it rained. Thankfully we have some amazing people who were able to help set up the ceremony once it stopped raining.

Advice for future couples!

Do more of what you want, find a way to make the memory last and don’t take it too seriously.
