These tips will help you create a stress-free celebration. Remember, these are just suggestions. It’s your day, so make it uniquely yours!
Think Outside the Box
Who says you have to stick to traditions? If you’re not into the ones you’ve seen in magazines, skip them! Build your own traditions instead.
- Write your own vows.
- Host your ceremony in your backyard.
- Book a quirky Airbnb.
- Choose an epic location like a mountain, a field, or somewhere new.

Keep the Guest List Intimate
Invite the people who make you happiest! Focus on friends and family who’ll laugh, dance, and create unforgettable memories with you.
Skip inviting anyone out of guilt, obligation, or fear of offending someone—it’s your special day, and it should be shared with those who matter most to you. Focus on creating an atmosphere filled with love, happiness, and the people who genuinely make you feel your best.
We’ve got some great tips for keeping your guest list small HERE!
Skip the Wedding Party or Keep It Small
Not sure who to include in your wedding party? Worried about managing a huge group? Don’t stress! Go without a wedding party, or keep it small.
No wedding party? No problem! You can still have a few close friends or family help you get ready. We’ve seen family & friends dress in a certain color to make it feel like they are the wedding party, OR we’ve even seen floral jumpsuits!

Plan a Relaxed Timeline and Delegate
Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the day. Add buffer times to handle any delays without feeling rushed.
Hiring the right vendors will save you tons of stress. Trustworthy, experienced vendors work together to make everything run smoothly. Share your timeline with everyone involved, from vendors to family. Pro tip: if you have anyone who’s famously late, tell them to arrive 15-20 minutes early!
Here is our advice for the best timeline for a stress-free wedding day!
Sneak Away for Sunset
Here’s the best advice we can offer. Take a few minutes during sunset to step away together. It’s a perfect opportunity for couples’ photos with your photographer. But, more importantly, it’s a moment for just the two of you to reflect and soak it all in.
Take a deep breath. Look around. Remember this moment. This will be one of your favorite memories. You’ll never regret stealing this quiet time together.
Make It Yours! You WILL NOT regret this!
Plan a Wedding That’s 100% YOU
This is the most important part! Make this day about YOU. It’s not about your mom, your cousin, or anyone else. Include what feels special and skip anything that doesn’t. It’s YOUR wedding, and it should reflect the two of you!
With the right mindset, planning a wedding can be a joyful adventure. Get ready to create a day that’s as unique as your love story!
