Dear Justin

We are celebrating our 7th year together – SEVEN YEARS! Where the heck did the time go?

We met while working at Hilltop – you a line cook and me a waitress. Our first conversation was about strip clubs (I have never been to one), we are not sure why this was  a discussion but it was the first time we talked. When I first saw you I thought you were a very cute boy, but with me getting out of a horrible relationship I was shy to starting something new.  I asked me friend Sara to get your number, and texted you one night making you guess who I was. Haha this still makes  me giggle 🙂 I met you out in downtown Stevens Point, I may have had a few too many drinks but we had a blast! You were a total gentleman and took me home – all the way to Scandinavia!

After a few weeks dating I finally wanted to make it official – it was a breath of fresh air dating someone for a change. Before you came along I would jump into relationships without getting to know the person first, from past relationships I found this is a HORRIBLE idea. I was thankful for your patience and kindness. You listened to my past and didn’t run away, you let me cry on your shoulder when I was terrified you’d run. We started out our relationship un-perfect, and to this day it is a perfect mess.

The past 7 years have been filled with so many great memories – we traveled to California our first year together to visit one of your best friends, where you showed me around 2 Marine bases. You helped me build a business that I can now do full time. My favorites are all the camping and road trips we have taken – rarely having a plan and enjoying every minute of it. You have seen me at my worst and at my best – you have loved me unconditionally. I don’t know how I got so lucky to have a kind man like you – but I am so happy that a conversations over strippers brought us together!

I cannot wait to see where the next 50 years brings us & thank you for making me smile everyday!

With all my love,

Christine
