We are Christine & Justin!
Wisconsin Elopement Photographers who believe your wedding day & photographs should be filled with your personalities!
Carolin and Jeff have amazing taste, something I found out right away during their engagement session. They had an amazing intimate wedding ceremony where they included their loved ones included in the hand tieing. Their wedding flowers, table linen, and even Jeff’s tweed suit went so well with the mismatched bridesmaid dresses that they picked for themselves. I just love how they all pop against the wintery background! A wintery background that came just the night before! It was a welcomed surprise!
Jeff is one the most empathetic and kind people I know. He truly cares about people. And we love doing the same things and have such similar interests, we are very similar people.
I love how authentic Carolin is, and how she focuses on making true connections with people.
Coffee at a cozy cafe, researching at a local history center, a cheese platter lunch, and cuddling on the couch watching British mysteries.
Our secret first dance alone time was a special moment that allowed us to soak in the day a bit and just be together as a couple.
Creating an event together that highlights us as a couple and creating an evening that other people will enjoy.
We stayed at a historic Madison hotel the night before our wedding and were able to relax a bit after wedding preparation and rehearsal. The morning was a blur of activity – Carolin getting hair and makeup styled with her bridal party; Jeff had breakfast with his best woman Amy Pennington and finished setting up sound equipment at the Lageret.
We had our first look around 2pm upstairs at the Lageret; it was a special moment to take each other in and spend some time before the big day. We enjoyed our pre-ceremony pictures with our wedding party outdoors and the family photos beforehand. The ceremony was a beautiful moment, we’re so glad that Jeff’s friend Rebecca was the officiant since she brought a great balance of humor and meaningfulness to the ceremony.
We were thrilled to spend time with family and friends throughout the rest of the evening.
Just getting putting everything together and communicating with everyone.
We had family photos displayed because we both are history nerds. Jeff’s parents made their own wine for the cocktail hour, and we tried to pick an aesthetic that really spoke to us as a couple and who we are as people to make everything as personalized as possible.
When we matched online I wasn’t sure. But as soon as you started to make me laugh with your funny texts, I was intrigued. Our first meeting face to face, I was astounded how easy it was to be with you. I was astonished how we complemented each other, and how much we enjoyed the same things. One of my favorite things about us is that we are the same type of nerd. We nerd out over genealogy and old detective shows, amongst other things. I love how we complement each other not only in our likes but also in our personalities. There are so many things I have learned from you, but I am always amazed by your empathy.
If I ever have a bad day, or don’t feel well, you never come at me with anger, or indifference, you are so caring and kind. I am so amazed by how compassionate and empathetic you are. I am in awe of you. I have found in our years together just how much I like you, I love you and I want to be your partner in life. I love our life together and I am so proud to be your lady. Jeff, Today, I promise to support your dreams and ambitions
I promise to respect, admire, and appreciate you for who you are, as well as for the person you wish to become I promise to allow for the pursues that soothe your soul I promise to laugh at your jokes, but only when they are funny I promise to be engaged in our relationship and to be your true partner in life. I promise to make the adventurous choices, choices not based on fear but fulfillment.
To paraphrase Brene Brown, I promise to choose courage over comfort, Whole hearts over armor and choose the great adventure of being brave and afraid. To quote Herman Hesse We are sun and moon, dear friend; we are sea and land. It is not our purpose to become each other; it is to recognize each other, to learn to see the other and honor him for what he is: each the other’s opposite and complement
I feel so fortunate to share our lives together as partners. It feels like we have always been connected, and I look forward to growing and living with your kind heart, passion, intelligence, and beauty. I admire your wit, your fearlessness, and your compassion. I love our long conversations over coffee, your insights, your thirst for knowledge. I prize your laughter and will always strive to hear it; it is one of my favorite sounds.
I’m so happy that we’ve found each other, that we compliment each other so well, and that we are a part of each other’s life. I vow to cherish your presence, To listen to you deeply To appreciate you through all times To take care of you, both in body and spirit To confide in you To be vulnerable with you To support you when needed, wanted, and unspoken To work on myself to continue to grow as a person To work on us as a couple and partnership To honor you, respect you, and above all love you fully, with all my heart and commitment.
