Elopement at Cafe Hollander in Madison, Wisconsin

I cannot say enough how rad Emma and Christian’s Cafe Hollander elopement in Madison, Wisconsin, was! They stayed true to who they were and their personalities and brought their story full circle! Cafe Hollander was where they had their first date! Rad huh?

May this be another reminder that you can make your wedding day entirely yours! Just think outside the damn box! You may not look at Cafe Hollander in Hilldale, Wisconsin, as a place to have a wedding until you see this wedding day! They didn’t need much added decore as the Cafe Hollander was already a freaking excellent place! From the bikes on the ceiling to the awesome chairs! They added a few flowers, and perfection!

The only downside to this day was the heat; in true Wisconsin fashion, it ended up being 90+ with HIGH humidity. But, these two looked AMAZING throughout the day, and it was the sweetest to hear Christian make sure Emma looked amazing all day! From dabbing her face and checking her makeup to ensuring she still smelled amazing!

Christian, what do you love most about Emma?

She keeps me grounded and helps remind me to enjoy every aspect of life. The way she can turn serious
situations into something we can laugh about is a trait I will admire forever. I’m not a cliché guy, but she truly is my better half.

Emma, what do you love most about Christian?

His calm energy, kindness, unwavering support, and sense of humor. He truly is my other half, my rock, my
best friend. I couldn’t take on life without him and I’m so grateful I never have to.

What would your perfect Sunday be together?

Grabbing brunch, snuggling with our kitty, and adventuring around in the mountains. Nothing better!

What memory stands out most from your wedding day?

The moment we saw each other as Emma walked down the aisle. We could never recreate that moment, and
it was so special. We will remember it forever.

What was the best part of planning your wedding day?

The details!!! We loved all the little personalized details of our wedding, it truly made it that much more special.

What was the greatest challenge in planning your wedding?

Emma was sick the entire week before. This made it much more stressful, especially with Christian traveling for work during the first half of the week. Emma being sick was unexpected, and we had to scramble with our families to ensure everything came together. We have the most incredible families that came together and made it happen, and everything turned out beyond our expectations.

What personal touches did you add to make your wedding your own?

Personalized signage, logo, Bride and Groom Cocktails, and truly just doing what WE wanted. We also threw
in short personal vows to which were very special to us.

What are you looking forward to most in your future together?

Wake up next to each other every day, knowing we will never have to face the trials and tribulations of life
alone. We are beyond excited to celebrate everything amazing that life brings, but having the unwavering support of
each other for the rest of our lives is something we are over the moon about. We are also extremely excited to travel
together and hopefully get a house and puppy in the next 2 years!

What advice do you have for couples planning their wedding day?

Don’t stress the small things! Delegate tasks to those who are more than willing to help and take people up
when they offer to help. It’s hard to let go of control of your wedding (believe me, I know!), but it is so worth it to save on the stress and truly enjoy the time leading up to your big day.

How do you feel about your decision to go with Natural Intuition Photography?

Amazing! We made the best decision. Christine and Justin were integral to making sure our day went
smoothly, and we appreciated all the advice they provided us throughout the planning process. They made us feel so
comfortable in front of the camera and really went the extra mile to make sure we had the best day. We can’t thank them enough and recommend them to anyone tying the knot in the near future!
