How did Kati & Storm Meet?
Kati and Storm’s paths crossed thanks to their mutual friend, Chris. Originally from Oshkosh, Kati had recently become friends with Chris, who was also Storm’s childhood buddy. One Saturday night, Kati’s mom convinced her to go to the bar, saying, “Chris’s brother is coming to town, and I have to meet him!” To Kati’s surprise, Storm walked in, visiting from out of town. Kati thought, “Holy cow, who is that cute guy walking in with Chris?” Little did they know that this chance encounter would be the start of something special.
Storm, on the other hand, was instantly drawn to Kati. “People don’t meet at bars anymore, and I’m glad we did,” he recalls. They talked for hours, moving from bar to bar, smiling and laughing the whole time. Though Kati ditched him that night, Storm wondered if he’d ever see her again.
The Proposal
Storm’s proposal was nothing short of magical. Revisiting their cherished memories, he took Kati and Aubrey back to the brewery where they had their first date. Afterward, they went for a walk through Regner Park. Storm had planned everything—champagne and flowers were waiting beside a tree. Although he couldn’t find the exact tree with their initials, Kati found it in 30 seconds. In front of that tree, Storm got down on one knee and proposed, making it a moment they would cherish forever.
