Wisconsin Adventure Session in Baraboo Wisconsin
When Sarah and Jon first contacted me, they wanted photos together at Pewets Nest (find more info here) outside Baraboo, Wisconsin. These photos were a rad compromise for their wedding portraits to celebrate their elopement in 2020! These two are 100% themselves, and it is so freaking awesome!
This adventure session started at Pewets Nest and ended at stunning Devils Lake State Park for Sunset! The main reason we left Pewets was due to some very drunk people that turned our relaxed and rad session into something from a bad movie! We laughed about it, but it was the best decision to head to Devils Lake! The sunset made everything worth it!
How did they meet?
In a college class for our teaching license. Sarah was finishing her undergraduate and Jonathan was coming back to school to get teaching credentials. On the first day of class, Sarah shared she was allergic to apples, and Jonathan remembered that a few weeks later when the professor brought in apples as a snack, she bought Sarah an orange.
How did you know you fell for your partner?
Sarah – Slowly, over time, we waited a long time to say “I love you,” and I said it first and had to wait until Jonathan was ready.
As Sarah supported me and helped me grow as an individual, Jonathan- Over time, I knew I loved her.
What do you admire most about your partner?
Sarah – Jonathan is so disciplined. He wakes up each morning and works out, cleans up, and keeps our space looking fantastic.
Jonathan – I appreciate all the good that Sarah sees in people. I appreciate her outlook and views on many issues (incredibly progressive values). I admire her strength and courage to choose different paths to take at other points in her life.
