The day kicked off in the most relaxed way possible. There were no separate hotel rooms, and there was no attempt to hide away. Instead, Michelle and Matthew prepared together at their family home by one of Madison’s beautiful lakes. This snowy elopement in the Madison area was truly relaxed from start to finish.

It set the tone for the entire day. They were surrounded by their kids, helping each other with buttons and ties. It felt intimate and grounded. They were not just starting a marriage. They were celebrating their family unit right from the jump.
