Wisconsin Elopement Photographer for Rad Couples
Y’all, 2025 was something truly special—it was the year I got my spark back. This year, I had the absolute honor of working with some AMAZING couples who brought so much love, laughter, and adventure to my lens. I intentionally cut back on bookings, which allowed me to focus deeply on each couple. This shift gave me the chance to really get to know them on a personal level and create an epic, one-of-a-kind experience for their big day.
One of the highlights? Photographing my very first mini hiking elopement at Devil’s Lake State Park! (More on that later—trust me, it was magical.) But for now, let’s dive into the incredible couples I had the privilege of photographing this year.
A Year of Firsts and Big Changes
This was also the first year I didn’t photograph a single wedding or elopement with Justin, and let me tell you—it was different. I’ve realized that part of what makes me love what I do is the amazing people I get to meet and photograph. But let’s be real—Justin made it all so much more fun, too!
Justin’s job kept him from working with me this year, which meant I got to create collections with just one photographer. And you know what? Sometimes, that made the day feel even more intimate and personal. But here’s the exciting news: Justin recently quit his job (YAY!), and he’ll be joining me again whenever possible in 2026! Of course, I’ll still offer collections with just one photographer for those who prefer a more low-key vibe or want to save a little.
2025 Recap: Rad Couples, Epic Days
This year, I photographed 16 incredible couples tying the knot. One couple has chosen to keep their day private for now (and it was one of my absolute favorite days of the year!), but I can’t wait to share their story when the time is right.
Of those 16 couples, only two had a big, traditional wedding, but with their own spin on it all! One was at an old camp on the lake, another was at blue hour with the lake behind them in downtown Madison.
The other 14 couples chose to elope, and let me tell you, their days were nothing short of magical. From the State Capitol Building to James Madison’s Little Chapel, Devil’s Lake State Park, and Parfrey’s Glen, each elopement was as unique as the couple themselves.
We planned every detail to reflect what they wanted—no fluff, no pressure, just pure joy. Some days started with old-fashioned drinks at the bar where they had their first date, while others kicked off with snacks on bluffs or first looks among trees. One spring elopement at James Madison Park even brought a surprise snowfall, adding an extra layer of magic to the day.
Why I Love Wisconsin Elopements
This year was filled with so many happy moments, and I can’t even begin to express the joy I witnessed and captured. What made it even more special was seeing couples unapologetically do EXACTLY what they wanted. They set aside the expectations of national wedding magazines, ignored the pressure from family and friends, and embraced the freedom to create a day that was truly theirs.
There’s something so powerful about couples who choose to elope in Wisconsin’s stunning landscapes—whether it’s the rugged beauty of Devil’s Lake, the serene charm of Parfrey’s Glen, or the iconic backdrop of the State Capitol. These couples didn’t just plan a wedding; they created an experience that reflected their love, their story, and their dreams.
I could go on and on about how much I adore the couples who step in front of my camera. They’re bold, they’re unique, and they’re freaking special. But instead, I’ll let the photos of their epic days do the talking.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As I wrap up 2025, I’m filled with so much gratitude for the couples who trusted me to capture their most important moments. This year reminded me why I love being a Wisconsin elopement photographer—it’s about the people, the stories, and the freedom to create something unforgettable.
Here’s to 2026 and all the rad couples I’ll get to meet. Whether you’re planning a hiking elopement at Devil’s Lake, an intimate ceremony at James Madison’s Little Chapel, or a snowy lakeside vow exchange, I’m here to help you make it happen. Let’s create something magical together.
