2024: A Rad Year or Elopements in Wisconsin
Wow, where did the year go? It’s wild that it’s time to reflect on the year gone by! It’s always hard to go through and pick my all-time favorite images of elopements from the year. I delivered over 30 thousand images this year between weddings & sessions! Crazy! While I delivered that many, I probably shot 100 thousand of them. Yes, I click a lot during weddings and sessions. I have become more intentional about how I photograph; I also found that I miss the perfect photo if I don’t click fast and often during certain moments. It helps get the winking one and the one before or after that. The beautiful after the awkward!
Narrowing down the photos for this blog is always difficult; I adore every moment during elopements, so narrowing it down is hard!
I photographed 12 amazing couples in various locations around Wisconsin. Many belly laughs, dancing, and vows were exchanged. Seeing couples get married exactly the way they wanted is seriously rad!
Photographing these amazing couples is the most significant honor; I am utterly thankful to have worked with them. They decided to have weddings that were entirely who they were, whether at a Zoo outside Chicago, at the State Capital Building, a tiny church along the lake, or at a rustic barn with a pond they could swim in. I got to sign as a witness, which always makes my heart burst with joy. Having a wedding that is fully who they are is the rad thing, the freaking epic thing, and just awesome!
Doing this as a job is the freaking raddest thing ever! The little girl before me is jumping for joy daily!
I could go on and on about how thankful I am for this job and how freaking awesome my couples are, but instead, I am going to share my all-time favorite images of 2024!
